Nor did I wake up on the wrong side of the bed. The original post was not
a request for information, but rather a poorly disguised attempt to
continue some unknown vendetta against either the Clinton Garage, or Mark,
by bringing up ancient history.
As for your shddy work comment:
Instead of saying that you "learned this information from the
person he sold his towing company to...." you should have said that
you "heard this rumor from a guy who drives a tow truck.".
What I posted is exactly what he was charged with (if you look
at my post, you'll see I even used quotes). Performing shoddy service
isn't a crime. If a mechanic performs shoddy service, people simply
stop going to him, and he goes out of business. The service at the Clinton
Garage has always been top notch. Case in point: I had front end work done
there once ($500.00), and about 10 months later I brought the car back to
the Clinton Garage to have a new exhaust pipe installed. When I went to
pick up the car, Mark said: "Oh, I noticed one of the parts we put in
the last time you were here wasn't wearing correctly, so I replaced it
for free under warranty." Is that shoddy service?
I think not.
My point?
I'm not defending what he did. He committed a crime and pleaded
guilty to it. Case closed.
He shouldn't be crucified for it over 3 years later.
Also, don't listen to what every truck driver tells you.
If someone is smart enough to turn on a computer and post a question
in an online forum, they're smart enough to google for the answer, as
well. Hence, I'm treating the topic with the respect it deserves. It
was meant to stir the pot, nothing more, nothing less. Your response about
shoddy workmanship was made out of ignorance, and from
"information" you heard from some truck driver.
There is a huge difference between fact and fiction.
