Regional group Double Vision recently was signed by California-based No Sleep Records exec Chris Hansen as the label’s first hip hop act. Hansen was nice enough to talk about his label and the guys below. To read the full article on Double vision, go here.

FOUNDER: Chris Hansen

“In late 2006 and/or early 2007, I wanted to start a label and release quality music, no matter what the genre. Music I enjoy and music I think others should be into instead of the things that are forced down their throats.”

HOW DID YOU COME ACROSS DOUBLE VISION?
“I was sent a press kit from them awhile back and thought it was great.”

WHAT STOOD OUT ABOUT THEM?
“It was kind of a ’90s throwback feel, but with some originality in it still. Basically it was exactly what I was looking for for my first hip hop group on the label. Something with a ’90s feel and not something like what is out there today.”

HOW WILL YOU PROMOTE DOUBLE VISION?
“To be honest, I am still learning as I go for this one, as the guys know. It is the first hip hop group signed to No Sleep, so it will be a learning process.”

WHAT KIND OF FUTURE DO YOU SEE FOR THIS GROUP?
“I am hoping to help build Double Vision’s fan base and work with them for a long time.”

DOUBLE VISION is… “Two great and down to earth guys.”
