Take advantage of this weekend’s live music with time management

Posted by on October 16, 2009

guitars1Below are what I have been calling the duelling shows for Saturday in the area. National act Royal Bliss and local event Cheeks and Friends Freedom Festival are both going on, so I have come up with the way to not miss anything.

Freedom Festival has nine local bands and starts at 2 p.m. and has free camping, plus Cheeks says they are giving out wrist bands so people can come and go.

The plan is to go out at 1 p.m. to the Freedom Fest, when the gates open, and set up your camper and watch some tunes for about five to seven hours (leave a friend to watch your camping gear if you feel the need) and then head back into Quincy for a bit to catch some Royal Bliss action.

Afterward head back out to catch the end of the live music at the festival, camp and join in on the after party.

Neal Middleton, of Royal Bliss says they pack up their RV and head out Freedom Fest to camp and party after their show anyway.

Read what I wrote after talking with Royal Bliss lead-singer, Neal Middleton, and Cheeks McGee here.
