Ingredients :

1/2 cup butter or margarine2 cups sugar2 eggs2 cups flour2 teaspoons baking soda1/4 teaspoon cinnamon1/4 teaspoon cloves4 cups peeled, chopped apples1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation :
|
Cream together butter, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture. Add apples and nuts; blend well. Mixture will be fairly dry; you may wish to knead by hand.Spread in a well-greased 9-by-13-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Drizzle with confectioners' sugar icing, caramel sauce and nuts or serve with ice cream.
